Good to know
This is a duplex located on the third and fourth (top) floor. Typical Beacon Hill house with narrow layout, old walls, but lots of characters. The narrow layout allows you to have enough privacy in a shared house. No living room but there's a shared kitchen for you to cook simple meals. It is best suited for those who work long hours and want to come back to unwind and rest. The listed room located on the third floor. The shared bathroom is on the same floor and the shared kitchen is one floor up. There's no living room and no in-unit washer/dryer. You can use 2 laundromats located within 5 mins walk or a cleaning store with wash/fold service at $2/lb. The room comes with a full bed, a fridge, and a working desk. There is a window AC (in the summer) and your own heating control (so you can adjust your preferred temperature). The neighborhood is the most beautiful and safe neighborhood in Boston. You will also enjoy a quick access (1 mins walk) to Whole Foods (supermarket) and CVS (drug stores) and many local restaurants. Please understand that Beacon Hill is a very pricey neighborhood with lots of historical houses. While the house is on the older side, you get the benefit from living in the most beautiful (and safe) neighborhood and the best location you can ask for if you work at MGH, MIT or downtown.
Other Details to Note
The house has narrow stairs. If you come with large/heavy suitcases, it will take extra efforts to move suitcases up. There are three guest rooms in total in the duplex (each one allows only one guest). No overnight guest without the host's approval.
